You're one of the first streamers to use Soutrix. Set it up on your real stream, use it for a week or two, and tell us what works and what doesn't. Everything you report helps shape the final product.
Step zero: take the 2-minute start survey. It asks what you use for alerts today, before Soutrix changes your mind about anything.
You'll need:
Soutrix is free during the beta. You won't be asked for payment details.
The editor has a "Get set up" checklist that ticks off each step as you go. Here's the same thing in more detail.
Open the Soutrix editor, enter your email and a password, and click Sign Up. That's it: during the beta there's no confirmation email, and the editor opens straight away.
Click one of the Starter presets, or set your own colour, font, message and sound. Each alert type (Follow, Sub, Donation, Raid) has its own settings: switch with the tabs at the top. The live preview shows what you'll get. Click Save when you change things.
Back in the editor you should see a green "Overlay connected". Want alerts in several scenes? Right-click the source → Copy, then in another scene Paste (Reference).
Scroll to the bottom of the editor and click Follow, Sub, Donation or Raid under Test fire. The alert should appear in OBS with its sound.
In the editor's StreamElements box, follow the three steps: copy your JWT Token from StreamElements (Account → Channels → Show secrets) and paste it in. It should say "Connected as your channel". Treat that token like a password: never show it on stream.
To check it works without waiting for a viewer, use StreamElements' own test button: StreamElements dashboard → Activity feed → Emulate.
Keep your overlay link private. It's what connects your overlay to your StreamElements alerts. If you ever share it by accident, click Reset link in the editor and paste the new one into OBS.
Mostly: just stream like normal with Soutrix running. On top of that, it really helps if you try these at least once:
{name} (and {amount} for donations and raids)Anything confusing counts as a problem too. If you had to guess what a button does, we want to know.
Use the orange "Report a problem" button in the bottom corner of the editor. It works even when you're logged out (for example "I can't log in").
A good report says:
1. What you were doing ("I clicked Save on the Raid tab")
2. What you expected ("I expected it to save")
3. What happened instead ("It said 'Could not save your settings'")
The report automatically includes which page and alert you were on, your browser, and any recent error messages, so you don't need to describe your setup.
Ideas and "I wish it could…" are just as welcome as bugs. Pick Idea or suggestion in the form.
These matter as much as bug reports: they tell us whether Soutrix is worth building further, and what to build next. Please be brutally honest. "I'd never pay for this" is useful to hear.
What you use for alerts now, and what annoys you about it.
Start surveyHow Soutrix went: what worked, what's missing, and whether you'd keep using it.
End surveykey= part).Password reset emails may not arrive during the beta. Use "Report a problem" in the editor (it works logged out), pick "Something isn't working", and include the email address you signed up with. We'll reset it for you.
Make sure you clicked Save. The button turns yellow and says "Save changes" while there are unsaved changes. Saved changes appear on the next alert.
Use "Report a problem" in the editor. That's exactly what it's for.
During the beta, Soutrix stores:
We don't sell or share your data. You can disconnect StreamElements at any time in the editor. Want your account deleted? Ask with "Report a problem".
